The LA Times has published an article by By Sallie Hofmeister entitled "Industry Feeling Presence of the 800-Pound Google"
In this article there is a prediction ( rumor ) for the year 2006 about Google PC project : Google will unveil its own low-price personal computer or other device that connects to the Internet. The machine would run an operating system created by Google.
Google co-founder Larry Page is delivering a keynote at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Friday afternoon PST , and according to the LA Times story, he will either reveal the so-called Google PC or announce an agreement with a major retailer to sell such a system.
Is Google going to move its efforts to an other business whereas most of its services are still Beta ? I don't think so and I'll be surprised if Google announces something major on Friday.
